I still don't know what this is, but I'll use it.

Extra Life

My brother, an avid gamer, is participating in a fundraiser for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, known as Extra Life. He’s halfway towards his goal of raising $200 for Johns Hopkins Children’s Center.

Whether or not you can donate, can you please reblog/tweet/share this? As his sister who lives overseas It’s one of the few things I can do to help him out from afar.

Cannot stop sharing these photos because they’re so good, lol.

"Kabe-don" is the act of backing someone up against a wall in the above fashion. Often used in romantic situations that are (unfortunately) unlikely to happen in real life.

But I was able to live the dream for a few seconds at Tokyo Game Show this weekend <3

I was cosplaying as fem!Kotetsu from Tiger&Bunny -the Rising- by the way.

William Bratton: Investigate Ryo Oyamada's Death

Ryo Oyamada, a 24 year old student from Japan, was struck and killed by an NYPD vehicle in a hit & run.  Witnesses say the police car had no lights or sirens on and was going over 70 mph.  The released footage by NYPD was proven to be heavily altered in a cover-up, showing “lights” on the vehicle, when compared to footage from the NY Housing Authority on the same street with the same timestamp.

On a personal note: I know that this will probably not be shared or reblogged very much, because Asians are not very prominent in American culture.  I understand this, because Asians (like me) are partially at fault for being so passive.  But I am begging you to please consider signing this petition out of human decency.  Ryo was just a student walking home, then struck by a nearly silent police cruiser going at excess speed, and the NYPD covered it up.

Here is the side-by-side comparison of the released video footage, including updates from the case.  *Edit*  This article contains a link to a graphic video moments after the crash, showing the body of Ryo Oyamada and NY citizens yelling at the police.  Please advise, it is highly disturbing.

And the following is an excerpt from the petition, which as of now only has 286 signatures.

(For the curious: I used the Google iPhone app & spoke all the names in Firstname Lastname format.  Sakura Kinomoto, Sakura & Mokona Modoki are all courtesy of the beautiful Konungarike.  So uh… yup, that just happened.  I’m so sorry.)

This is my best friend, Ces.

We’ve been best friends for as long as I’ve loved Sailor Moon. 2014 is the 20th anniversary of our friendship.

Ces often remembers things from our childhood that I barely remember, but the one thing I DO remember is when, not shortly after we met in 1st grade, I told her that I liked “this show called Sailor Moon” and she said she liked it too. At that time, anime was still not known to very many, and Sailor Moon came on at 6am on some obscure channel that wasn’t ABC or NBC or FOX. Ces was the first person I had met who also knew about Sailor Moon.

Of course we developed interest in other things throughout our friendship, but for me, Sailor Moon is what started everything.

By the way, Sailor Star Maker is Ces’ first costume. She worked really hard on it all the way up to Otakon Saturday, in time for the 3pm Sailor Moon cosplay gathering. I’m really proud of her. :)
